Zero Punctuation
admin - Thursday, March 27, 2008
Zero Punctuation is a weekly published video review the site – The Escapist an online magazine dedicated to gaming. Ben 'Yahtzee' Croshaw the author of Zero Punctuation, releases reviews each Wednesday. Yahtzee whos is British-born and currently resides in Australia, has his own website which is updated regularly in a blog style format - Fully Ramblomatic.com.
Zero Punctuation's style is visually simple yet the fast spoken criticisms are delivered in an undeniable perspective generally focussing on the negative aspects of new and recent game releases.
Below are some of my personal favourite reviews that Yahtzee's Zero Punctuation has covered in the past, if you enjoy them check out the rest on The Escapist.
Call of Duty 4
Assassin's Creed
Orange Box
Blast From The Past: Secret of Mana [SNES]
admin - Thursday, March 13, 2008

Of course, some people will argue that this kind of simplistic gameplay is boring and that this game should not be held up as an example … but those people are stupid and unenlightened. Secret of Mana was a game that anyone into the RPG genre would have, and probably still do, thoroughly enjoy. Of course an actual SNES console, aswell as a Secret of Mana cartridge (especially an Oz cartridge) are quite hard to come by, so keep an eye out for it (*cough* emulators).

DnD co-creator Gary Gyrax dies aged 69

Gary leaves undoubtedly a timeless legacy and is remembered deeply and accurately by one of his famous quotes - "I would like the world to remember me as the guy who really enjoyed playing games and sharing his knowledge and his fun pastimes with everybody else."
