BC2 helping 3FL set new records

Some more interesting stats.  Inside the 3FL gaming network there are now close to 300 Bad Company 2 servers, 100 of which are official 3FL servers.

3FL servers are in spots #1, #4 and #7 as of writing, and 3 more of the top 10 servers are hosted on our network anyway.

I’ve personally taken over 200 dogtags.    5 of these were from one guy called pseudo.au .. sorry dude.

Finally there’s a great thread over in the 3FL forums called Battlefield Moments.  Jump in there and tell us about the awesome stuff you’ve done or seen in this game.

Once again – a big thank you to the Hypernians for ensuring 3FL had ranked servers up the moment the game was released, you guys rock (go buy a server).

Minor rant aside – the full game is nigh.  We’re looking at a March 4th release date here in the AU (barring any sudden rating mishaps due to the games lack of fluffy bunnies and interpretive dance) and we’re already gearing up with Hypernia to make sure we have a whole slew of tasty Freezone servers for you to play on.

Hypernia have been working their butts off in the last week to make sure there’s plenty of capacity for you – the punter – to purchase your very own BC2 servers too.  These (like all Hypernia servers in Australia) will live inside the Freezone and be unmetered traffic for anyone on one of our partner ISPs.  Pricing on the servers has just been released, with 16 slot servers running at US$20/month and 32 slot US$30/month.  With the exchange rate at the moment you’d be stupid not to buy a server!

Now to figure out what to do for the next 2 days until it’s released.

MechWarrior: Living Legends update 0.2.0

Of major note in this patch – the ‘Frostbite’ map and changes to Extremity and Inferno to make them not suck.  Inferno is now unfortunately large though – so without a full server there’s a lot of travel time in between explosions.

Along with new mechs and weapons, they’ve also added in AMS (Anti Missile System), which cuts down on the long distance LRM battles a fair bit.  Oh and it’s awesome watching your little shoulder laser mow through a bunch of missiles enroute.
