Remember those mods I talked about roughly a week ago that were coming to Steam?  Well they came out in the last couple of days, so you should be able to find them in your under the "My Games" section in your Steam client.  You just need to have a copy of pretty much any of the source engine based games to be eligible to download the mods (they are mods after all, not standalone games in their own right).

We've setup some servers for the new Steam version of Age of Chivalry, Insurgency and Zombie Panic.  Hit up our Serverspy page for details on which servers to connect to, even though from looking at the player numbers shortly after them coming online, a lot of people have found them already. :)

Bond, James Bond.  Quantum of Solace is the new Bond movie, and with it comes a new game based on the movie.  The game is powered by the Call of Duty 4 engine and will be available for PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii gamers in early November.

A demo for the PC version of the game has been released and weighs in at a 689Mb and of course we've got it mirrored here for you to download.  You can grab the demo via this link <-- yep, click that link right there.

Major Nelson has another post in their behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming update to the Xbox 360's dashboard.  This time its a look at the new marketplace which is used to browse the pay to download content as well as the free content that is available for the console.  The Gamescoreblog has a full wrap showing off the screenshots and explanations of the bits and pieces.

At the moment there is no date on when the dashboard will be out, Major Nelson notes "before the new year", but given that its meant to be the "fall" update (or spring for us Aussies), then one shouldn't be too mistaken in thinking that it might come out before summer?  But stranger things have happened.

There are rumours doing the rounds at the moment of a Spore expansion coming soon.  There was information leaked onto 2 US retailers web sites (Amazon and Gamestop) that was pulled pretty quickly after.  The expansion is supposedly titled "Cute & Creepy Parts Pack", and had a release date of the 18th of November, so that'd mean pretty soon then.

Not surprising really given that now would be a good time to get an expansion out there ready for those fat Christmas sales.  The price was put at being around $US20, so that'd equate to being about $30 in the Aussie dollar.

Mythic Entertainment's MMORPG Warhammer Online has been out for almost 2 weeks now.  So in the first part of what will be a 2 part article, I did a bit of an ask around those in the office here who have been giving it a go if they could give some some of their thoughts based on their first experiences with the game.  What continues is the impressions from 2 perspectives, so this should hopefully give you some differing thoughts on the game if you were thinking of giving it a go.
