With all these great game releases that are fishing out the hard earned dollars from the the collective pockets of gamers in November 2008, you can't help but forget one of 2008's (and of all time's) biggest releases was actually back in April. GTA4, everyone's favourite murder simulator had Microsoft fronting some big figures to secure the initial exclusivity to episodic or downloadable content (DLC) for Rockstar's money printing franchise.

A few months preceeding after the release of GTA4, the upcoming DLC was given a date of November 2008, however as many are aware this was pushed back shortly after. After this, Rockstar have been a bit reluctant to provide any particular details in terms of an actual release date and what the new content would actually be about.

Finally, some solid details have seeped out in an interview with USA Today. The new episodic content will be centered around Johnny Klebitz, a member of the Liberty City biker gang - The Lost. You may remember The Lost throughout scattered missions in GTA 4 and their feature in many of the in-game radio news bulletins.

"Johnny is a very different character than Niko, with a very different background," says Dan Houser, vice president of creative development for Rockstar Games. "I can't go into too much detail on the story, because we try not to give away too much plot before the game is released. But I can say that the story will show you a different side of Liberty City."

"The story is not directly impacted by decisions you took in the main game," he says. But "tons of details and mysteries from the main story get explained, so it will add a lot of color to the main story."

Rockstar have set a date of February 19, 2009, with no word yet on when or if this new episode will be available for the PS3 or PC.
