Final Fantasy XI and XIV Back Online Friday
Scott Rose - Wednesday, March 23, 2011

Following on from the Earthquake and Tsunami that hit Japan on March 11th, Square-Enix decided to shutdown their MMORPG Servers for Final Fantasy XI and XIV to conserve power.
Square-Enix have announced today that the servers will be coming back online Friday, the 25th of March after making a few cuts in the office to account for the power that the servers normally use.

The servers consume around 11% of Square-Enix’s Tokyo Offices overall power.
Square Enix has “shut down our air conditioning system (8.8%) and enacted other power conservation measures, such as reducing lighting in our offices, to achieve over 10% in energy usage reductions.”
In addition to the servers coming back up, Square-Enix will be allowing subscribers to play for free throughout April.

This weeks episode includes reviews of MAG (A 256 player FPS.. looks quite neat), a new Zelda game and a new Final Fantasy game on Wii.
You should at least have a looksee at the MAG review, it does look quite decent. Unfortunately I bought that other console.
