Internode Joins iiNet’s Freezone

El_Funko - Friday, March 23, 2012

After receiving our prototype Portal gun from Valve, we decided to test it out by opening a portal between iiNet and Internode’s servers.

Nothing has exploded yet, so it looks like iiNet and Internode customers can now enjoy a huge range of unmetered content without taking a hit to their monthly quota.

Internode folk can frag it up on hundreds of 3FL game servers, enjoy Freezone video content including Day[9] Daily casts, and download from ftp.iinet.net.au as quota-free traffic; while iiNet, Westnet and Netspace dudes and/or dudettes gain access to games.on.net’s extensive range of files, patches, demos, game servers, and the mighty mirror.internode.on.net repository.

More games, more videos and more downloads without destroying your monthly quota – that’s how we roll.

We’ve got big plans for iiNet and Internode gamers in the giant green pipeline, so stay tuned for more great news in the near future.

Star Wars Free Weekend: Episode 2

El_Funko - Thursday, March 22, 2012

Round 2 of the Star Wars: The Old Republic Weekend Pass kicks off from today until Monday 26th, so don’t miss your chance to try Bioware’s epic story-driven MMO for free.

During the Weekend Pass, characters will be limited to a maximum level of 15 and can participate in their starting area, capital world, faction fleet, warzones and the first flashpoint instance. Of course, that’s not going to stop you from trying every single class up to level 15 before the weekend is over, so stock up on Red Bull and instant noodles.

Don’t forgot to play on the official Australian servers so you can cross lightsabres with your fellow Aussies while enjoying a ping of under 100 MS.

To spare your preciously monthly download quota, we’ve got the 18GB client file mirrored on 3FL which will count as Freezone traffic for iiNet, Westnet and Netspace customers.

BF3′s Wake Island Gameplay Trailer

El_Funko - Wednesday, December 7, 2011

While PS3 owners now have access to the Back to Karkand DLC maps, PC and Xbox players will have to wait until next week before getting a shot at the DLC.

For those of us who don’t play it on PS3, we could either pass the time by telling the PS3 players how they’re all a big bunch of jerks or we could watch the new Wake Island gameplay trailer over and over. Personally I plan to do both and throw in few brief interludes of staring longingly at the classic BF2 weapons on the Battlelog’s DLC page. Soon, my pretties, soon we shall be together once more.

You can check out the new trailer below on Youtube or download the full HD version (and I mean full HD, the file is just over 1GB in size) entirely quota-free from the 3FL download vault.

*Youtube video content is not quota-free as it is not part of the Freezone
