MechWarrior: Living Legends beta update

We’ve chosen to push ahead with the Crysis Wars version, being a newer version of the game.  So you’ll need to use that to play on the 3FL MWLL server.

There are new weapons, vehicles, mechs etc.. all incredibly detailed and a beauty to behold (possibly even more beautiful to destroy).  The new update also includes the new game mode ‘Terrain Control’ which will feel familiar to anyone that’s played .. well you know, any of those terrain control style FPS games.

Release article here – they’re now up to 0.4.3 though, so when installing remember to keep running the updater until it says it can’t find any more updates.  If you have any problems with the install (I did…) come post on the forums and we’ll help you work through them, or check out the MWLL site

MechWarrior: Living Legends – Crysis Mod

MechWarrior: Living Legends puts you back in the cockpit of a giant mech.. finally!  This is something that’s been missing from the gaming community for years.  The mod is only in beta and has a few issues still – but it’s most definitely playable.

If you’re a fan of giant mech combat (or even annoying elemental combat) then you owe it to yourself to check this out.   You’ll need a copy of Crysis, but the mod itself is free.  There’s a post in the forums that explains where to go to get it and install it here, along with a couple of game play vids that should get you excited.
