3FL User's Code of Conduct

Overview

The 3FL Gaming Network endeavours to provide a gaming environment that promotes a friendly, fun and fair environment for everyone within the gaming community to play games on.

Unfortunately there are some people who try to ruin this experience and the following rules govern what conduct we expect from everyone who chooses to play on 3FL Gaming Network resources.

Cheating

Simply put, cheating in any form will not be tolerated at all at any time. If you are caught cheating, you will be immediately banned on the spot. If you are banned for cheating, you will not be allowed to access any 3FL Gaming Network resources at all. Cheating bans are permanent and will not be removed.

It is your responsibility to secure access to games on your computer so that others don't use cheats to get you banned. So if your Unique ID or Account gets banned for cheating by someone else, this ban will not be removed.

Unacceptable Conduct

If you’re acting in a manner which is deliberately annoying or offensive to other players, then you may be warned by an Admin and depending on the severity of the offence kicked or banned from a server for a time period up to the discretion of the Admin present.

The following conduct is not acceptable on 3FL at any time:

  • Impersonating Admins
  • Spamming either text based, or audio based chat systems
  • Using offensive language (either in text or audio chat, or in your player name)
  • Being abusive and/or offensive
  • Using language and/or making comments which are discriminatory, including (but not limited to) the following types:
    • Racism
    • Sexual discrimination (including gender or sexual persuasion based)
  • Deliberately holding up or slowing down gameplay (e.g. camping when your team is meant to be completing map objectives - capturing flags, rescuing hostages, planting the bomb etc.)
  • Deliberately team killing, team injuring or otherwise impairing the actions of other players (e.g. deliberately blocking a narrow doorway, throwing flash bangs in front of other players etc.)
  • Cheating (as outlined above)
  • Exploiting bugs or flaws in games (even if this isn’t to explicitly gain an advantage)
  • Inserting images (e.g. sprays) into the game which contain offensive or obscene imagery or text, or serve to deliberately confuse other players (e.g. an image of a player model etc.)

There are other things which will fall into the category of unacceptable conduct and they will be up to the discretion of the Admin who is present at the time to decide on as they occur.

Generally speaking common sense should be used by players and if you feel you need to ask if something is acceptable conduct or not, then it probably isn’t.

Penalties

The only item of unacceptable conduct for which there isn’t any discretion involved is for cheating. If you are caught cheating, then you will be banned permanently. There are no exceptions to this rule.

For other offences, it’s up to the discretion of the Admin assessing your conduct to determine what your punishment will be. This will assess whether you will receive a warning first or whether you will be kicked and/or banned on the spot depending on the severity of the offence. If you repeatedly break the rules, then each consequential penalty will be increased up to the point of where you will be permanently banned.

If during a period of being banned, you try to evade this ban by either acquiring or gaining access with an alternative Unique ID or Account, you will have your original ban increased in length and the alternate account also banned for the same length of time.

Banned Players

If you have been banned and wish to query the ban, you should contact the Admin which banned you with the preferred method of contact being via email - you can find the contact information and procedure for contacting 3FL Game Admins in the 3FL Game Admin article. If you don’t know which Admin banned you, you should contact the head Admin for the game in question, which can be found by visiting the 3FL Game Admins article also.

When contacting an Admin in regards to a ban query, you will need to provide details of the game you were banned from and what your Unique ID or Account is so that the Admin can check to see who banned you and why you were banned.

Note: An Admin will NEVER request your CD key or Account Password. Your CD key is not your Unique ID. Your CD key should never be given out to any 3FL Admin or player under any circumstances.
